"Exmoor Delight"

Exmoor Delight

Only a handful of these coaches were built by Plaxton using the parts of their full size range fitted on the early but very reliable Merc chassis to create a spacious comfortable smaller vehicle with large panoramic windows. Delight has proved very popular with passengers, entering Blue Motors service in 2002, and continues to be the mainstay of the special Exmoor byways excursions provided by the Blue Motors.

Vehicles we have operated in the past.

"Exmoor Beauty"

Exmoor Beauty

New to Mortehoe and Woolacombe coaches, serving them for 12 years, moving on through a number of operators before disappearing in the late '60s. Found by Martyn nearly 30 years later in a barn, she was restored to service with Blue Motors, working here for 15years (longer than with any other operator), finally moving on in spring 2011 to Lewis Coaches, Henstridge.

"Exmoor Heather"

Exmoor Heather

New to Weardale, after a couple of years moved to Mid Devon for the next 20 years before being set aside in a field from where she was recovered by Martyn Babb in 1997 and restored to service, providing his new heritage coach excursion business with its first vehicle. She was transferred to Blue Motors of Blackpool in 2004, and continues in service there (see Links page).
